It's here: new book on the Arp galaxies


We're pleased to announce the publication of "The Arp Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies: A Chronicle and Observer's Guide," by Jeff Kanipe and Dennis Webb, and published by Willmann-Bell.

This book features all 338 of the Arp galaxies, both in the original images from Halton Arp's seminal 1966 atlas, and as imaged today by amateur astronomers using their own equipment. It also provides a chronicle of Arp's research, from how he came to research and publish his atlas of peculiar galaxies, to the discordant redshift claims he is best known for today.

We hope the book will be an invaluable resource for both amateur astronomers and astronomical historians. Check it out at:
